The Castello di Verrazzano is located in Chianti Classico, Tuscany, and has a history that dates back to the 7th century. It was the family home of Giovanni da Verrazzano, the explorer who first arrived in New York Harbor in 1524.
After 1819, the castle passed to the Ridolfi family, and in 1958 it was purchased by the Cappellini family. The Cappellinis restored it and revived wine production, laying the foundations for agritourism.
Remaining unchanged within its boundaries for over 1000 years, the 230-acre estate features 52 hectares of vineyards at an altitude between 260 and 420 meters above sea level, on rocky soil rich in limestone.
The vineyards are periodically renewed according to a program that maintains the average age of the plants at around 12 years. The excellent climatic conditions of the vineyards, combined with improved cultivation techniques aimed at better phytosanitary conditions of the plants and limited production per hectare, allow for the production of fine wines characterized by the maximum expression of the combination of terroir and grape variety.
Thanks to the castle's location in the center of the estate, the grapes reach the cellar within minutes to be pressed quickly and gently, and fermentation begins in small quantities under controlled temperature. Aging takes place in oak barrels made from Slavonian oak.
The ancient cellars date back to the 16th century and have been hosting the best harvests since 1924!

Ser Chiaro comes from the Greve in Chianti area, which has limestone soils that impart freshness and minerality to the wine. Harvesting is done manually in the first week of September, ensuring that the grapes have reached their optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature exclusively from free-flowing must, after natural cold settling, preserving the purity and aromas of Pinot Blanc. It is characterized by a bright yellow color with clear floral and fruity aromas. Notes of banana and peach dominate the nose and palate, lingering until the fresh, light finish. Fresh character, with nice acidity and a balanced body.

Il Rosé comes from the Greve in Chianti area, which is characterized by limestone soils, ideal for highlighting the freshness and acidity of Sangiovese. The harvest is done by hand, ensuring careful selection of the grapes. The must is obtained by pressing whole grapes, after a few hours of extraction under inert gas and at low temperature. The alcoholic fermentation lasts about 25 days at 15-16°C and is followed by aging on the lees for 2 months.
The result is a wine with a bright rosé color and a highly expressive aromatic profile. Floral and red fruit notes dominate the nose, while on the palate it is pleasant, fresh, with a beautiful minerality and balanced acidity.

The vineyards are located in Greve in Chianti, an area where limestone predominates in the soil composition. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature (26-28°C), with an extraction period of 6-7 days and gentle stirring (fulling). Aging takes place in medium-sized stainless steel tanks for about 8 months, followed by at least 3 months of bottle aging. A charming wine, with a bright ruby color and violet reflections. On the nose, it exhibits intense aromas of red fruits and fresh flowers. On the palate, it is balanced, with a harmonious structure, attractive and pleasant.
