The history of the Unified Winemaking Agricultural Cooperative of Samos (U.W.C. .SAMOS) begins in 1934, after repeated mobilizations of the farmers of Samos. Ιts course proved that this "union" of winegrowers, was a choice of strategic importance for the preservation of viticulture on the island, but also the protection of the production and income of the producers.
UWC Samos collects, vinifies and trades almost all of the island's wine production. It is constantly modernizing and investing in technology and know-how, respecting the tradition of viticulture and winemaking.
Samos Moscato has a high recognition throughout the world and has completely identified its name with its geographical origin, as is the case internationally with the finest varieties. For these reasons, Samian wine has one of Europe's oldest designations of controlled designation of origin (PDO) under the name 'Samos'.
The wines of Samos collect hundreds of distinctions in international competitions and exhibitions around the world. It is worth noting that the first award is chronologically placed in 1937, while every year more and more are added to the long series of honors and distinctions.

A white dry varietal wine of timeless value and consistent quality, with a refined aromatic character and unforgettable taste. It comes from the Muscat Blanc variety, from mountainous vineyards of Ambelou, at an altitude of over 900 meters. Α yellowish light wine, with aromas of rose, apricot and lemon overwhelming the nose. A wine with a refined character, where the fruity and floral aromas of Muscat are refined. Taste delicate and light, with a sweetness that wins you over with refreshing acidity and satisfying length.

The variety White Muscat has been cultivated in Samos for centuries and is closely linked to the history, tradition, and wine culture of the Aegean island. It comes from semi-mountainous, dry vineyards stacked in stone terraces and produces aromatic wines with a beautiful flavor profile. Bright pale yellow color with greenish highlights. Aromatically, it is rich and "full", reminiscent of the smell of ripe, white-fleshed fruits, such as peach, apricot and melon.

The aromas in this particular wine are fresh but also ripe with fruits such as apricots, apples and citrus fruits. A semi-dry wine that gives an exotic character of banana, lychee and pineapple. In general, it is a wine with intense but harmonious fruity aromas, soft and velvety taste and long lasting aftertaste.

Samena, originating from lowland vineyards, is a wine with a bright light yellow color and subtle floral aromas, which harmoniously coexist with the aromas of the grape. Light yellow, bright color and subtle floral aromas, not overshadowed by those of Muscat. In the mouth, it is a classic Mediterranean wine, expressed with thickness and oiliness

From a remote biodynamic vineyard at an altitude of 600 m. A wine with a bright amber color and a strong aromatic, expressive, and mineral character. It is earthy and bucolic, with iodide notes and an impressive aftertaste duration. A product of biodynamic cultivation, fermented in small tanks and aged in barrels for 12 months. Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and without the addition of sulfur.

AFrom organic vineyards at an altitude of 1,100 meters on the summit of Mount Ambelos. A wine with high acidity, straightforward and typical, particularly dry with a full mouthfeel, featuring fruity aromas, hints of yeast and herbs, and a long aftertaste. Αromas of bitter orange, ripe apricot, honey, aromas of toast and almond. White - straw blonde color. A seductive wine, particularly aromatic, with notes of dried citrus fruits and muscat raisins. Noble oxidation gives stone fruit aromas. Elegant, soft and round mouth. It was bottled unfiltered, unaged and without the addition of sulphite.

The initially herbal nose develops into more complex aromas of orange peel, exotic spices, butter and brioche as the wine opens in the glass. In the mouth, earthy, peppery and spicy notes blend harmoniously with the warm oiliness and complex aromas. Mineral expression surprises with its range, finesse and length of aftertaste.

Rosé semi-dry wine from the blend of the indigenous varieties Fokiano, Avgoustiatis and Muscat of Samos, which "speaks" the language of the whole world. A wine that depicts on its label today's Babel, the coexistence of different peoples and nationalities with the common aim of enjoyment. Soft salmon color with youthful violet hues. On the nose, wild cherries and lemon blossoms are the main characters.

With a light golden color and aromas of apricot jam, overripe melon and hints of butterscotch dominating. The first contact with the mouth is explosive as in its particularly fruity taste you can hear notes of white-fleshed summer fruits while there are hints of butterscotch and small touches of flowers.

Deep red color with a rich body that gives aromas of muscat, dried fruits and nuts, honey, wax and incense due to its aging. The mouth is quite sweet, balancing between aromas of aging and dried fruits. Soft taste with a long duration.

Natural sweetener, partially fortified. The Grand Cru is distinguished by its bright golden color, reminiscent of topaz and its aromatic richness that combines the memories of the grape with the aromas of exotic fruit jam. In the mouth, it is fresh and sweet with perfectly balanced acidity.

Produced from organic vineyards, it has a particularly bright yellow-golden color. Aromas of dried apricot and fruit compote prevail. Its elegant and harmonious palate, with sweet muscat notes taking center stage, is set against an aromatic background of ripe fruits and nuts. Soft on the palate, with sweetness that balances beautifully with acidity. Long-lasting finish.

Aged for 5 years in oak barrels, an exceptionally balanced and refined sweet wine with a luminous and captivating deep orange color and copper-hued highlights. Complex and expressive on the nose, it releases notes of honey, beeswax, caramel butter and spoon-sweet grape, complemented by hints of alcohol-cherry, dried fruits and nuts. On the palate it retains the tertiary aromas of aging such as dried fruits, smoke and chocolate. Rich and rounded with a long finish.

A different sweet wine from the Samos Cooperative. It comes from Muscat variety grapes grown in dry, semi-mountainous vineyards with low yield per hectare. It is a partially fortified wine, as alcohol is added during alcoholic fermentation, with a fresh aromatic character. Bright in appearance, with an attractive golden color. It exudes the primary aromas of the grape, mainly flowers, fresh fruits and honey, while on the palate it is soft, the sweetness balancing excellently with the acidity, in a wine with a long finish.

Its aromatic potential is extremely strong and complex, including aromas of nuts (walnut), dried fruits (plum, raisin and very strong fig), fruits (quince, date, sour cherry, bergamot), aromas of herbs and spices (cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, frankincense), chocolate, caramel, molasses, honey, coffee, tobacco and honey. Its full, velvety taste and rich thick texture, due to intense concentration, manifests the richness of its ingredients, perfectly balancing with its subtle acidity

The sweet wine "Samos 1963" is part of Greek wine history as it transports us back in time, evoking memories, flavors and aromas of the 1960s. An excellent example of the remarkable ageing potential of Samos Muscats, it is released in a limited number of bottles. Bright, amber in appearance, it reflects the ageing it has undergone. Complex, expressive with unique richness on the nose and palate. Aromas of chocolate, roasted coffee beans, spices, grape molasses, smoke, honey, nuts and dried figs compose a multidimensional ensemble. Its years of life give it invaluable quality as well as an unprecedented freshness, which is further highlighted by the abundance of dense aromas that frame its unique taste.
